WALKING ON THE PASTURES OF WONDER is a poignant and inspirational collection of radio conversations and presentations from O'Donohue's work with close friend and former RTÉ broadcaster, John Quinn. These timeless conversations explore themes such as wonder, landscape, the medieval mystic Meister Eckhart, aging and death, in O'Donohue's inimitable lyrical style.
To remind you, John O’Donohue was recognized by many as being one of the most charismatic and inspirational writers of his day. A native Irish speaker, he was born in County Clare and received a BA in English and Philosophy in 1977 and a Degree in Theology in 1980, both from St Patrick’s College, Maynooth. In 1990 he was awarded a PhD in Philosophical Theology from the University of Tubingen, Germany. He wrote several major works, including two poetry collections, Echoes of Memory and Conamara Blues, and the international bestsellers Anam Cara, Eternal Echoes, and Divine Beauty. His last work, the acclaimed Benedictus, (or, as published in the U.S., To Bless the Space Between Us) published in 2007. He passed away in 2008 at the age of fifty-two.
John Quinn was born in County Meath and is a former RTÉ broadcaster.
